Atari Portfolio .
I did some computer programming for the "Atari Benelux" company in my spare time. They used to
distribute these programs through their own bulletin board.
Now the company and the Portfolio have been disbanded I offer my programs on this page for the few Portfolio enthousiasts
who still use this little machine.
- Portfolio Basic 4.0 is the smallest BASIC language I've ever come across.
It is only 12 kByte in size, and yet it is capable of some nifty programming, using graphics, VERY accurate arithmatic and
sound. I programmed it "by hand" using only machine language, and it is quite a puzzle to make a program and keep it down to this size. The ZIP file contains the PB4.COM file as well as a few programs. If you download everything into a portfolio and
type PB4 DEMO or PB4 CHESS then the capabilities of the thing will become apparent.
- Batchio.zip contains a very handy utility, where you can use the "native" Portfolio programs from batchfiles.
- Functio2.zip is a program where you can turn your portfolio into a graphic calculator: it shows mathematical functions on a graphics screen.
- Unitio.zip is a quick conversion program, useful for converting al sorts of different physical units,
or for converting foreign currency if you want.
You are welcome to download thes programs and use them. Some of the documentation may be in the dutch language, but the
(by now) skillfull Portfolio user will probably have no problems with them.
